Website Knowledge Sync: your whole store, readable by the AI
During onboarding (and anytime under Settings → Knowledge) you choose exactly which parts of your store the AI may read: Pages, Legal/Policy pages, Collection pages, Product pages, Blogs and Blog articles — all pre-selected, each one optional. supportif.ai then fetches every URL, analyzes each page with AI, stores the full page texts and generates knowledge entries automatically.
- Your schedule — re-analyze once, hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.
- Incremental — only changed pages are re-analyzed; removed pages are cleaned up together with their knowledge entries; new pages are added automatically.
- Full transparency — the “Knowledge syncs” page shows running and past syncs with live progress bars, per-URL results, exact counts (analyzed, failed, new, updated, deleted pages, entries created) and precise error messages. Cancel a running sync or start one manually anytime.
- Password-protected shops — not launched yet? Enter your storefront password (stored encrypted) and the crawler reads your pages anyway.
Bootstrapped from your shop data
Right after installation, supportif.ai reads your Shopify configuration and generates the first knowledge entries on its own: your return and refund policies, shipping countries and rates, store policies and other structured facts a support agent needs on day one. When a customer asks “Do you ship to Switzerland?” the AI already knows the answer — because your shop settings say so.
Learning from your email history
Next, the AI studies your existing support conversations. Two distinct things are extracted:
- A style guide — how you greet customers, how formal you are, how you sign off, how long your answers typically are. Future AI replies follow this guide, so they read like you wrote them, not a robot.
- Solution patterns — how you resolved past cases. If you always offer a replacement before a refund for damaged items, the AI learns that preference and proposes the same path for new cases.
Important: historical emails are used for learning only. The AI never sends automatic replies to conversations from before your setup date — see the cutoff explained on the AI Email Automation page.
It keeps learning after every resolved case
The knowledge base isn't a one-time import. Every time you resolve a ticket — whether you accept the AI's proposal, edit it, or write something entirely different — the outcome feeds back into the knowledge base. Corrections teach the AI what you actually wanted. Over weeks, the share of cases it can handle autonomously grows measurably.
Auto-activation with full control
Newly learned knowledge entries can be activated automatically so the system improves without your involvement — or, if you prefer tighter control, you can review each new entry before the AI is allowed to use it. Either way, you can browse, edit and deactivate every entry in the Knowledge section of the app at any time. Nothing the AI “knows” is hidden from you.
